Oh yes, and I remember the rogue LOG trucks riding the bumper of our little VW on curvy Rt 1 in Northern CA.

Great pics, Joe and thanks. I am headed to Grayton in three weeks, already can taste those crab cakes and feel the sand between my toes! Fall here, with the harvest going full-tilt boogie and the vines already pumping color. Our temps are mid-90s in the afternoons and mid 40s during the nights. The big wind machines in the vineyards around us sound like a 747 landing behind our house in the early mornings (frost protection). We're hoping the entire continent will have an early fall and that the worst of the hurricanes is now past. The danger on the Gulf coast is hurricanes. Oh, man, you're hurting me. They were there and i missed them! (Clampitt). I was at the bar hours later for dinner but thought the boys were still on tour and didnt even bother to check on sunday morning tunes....drat. I even had half my bluegrass band in tow, who i've been bragging to about Clampitt for years. double drat.

I will post a trip report in another thread shortly.
