You guys obviously enjoy "teasing" the rest of us. Not only that we are not there, but that we aren't part of your little "clique."

I always thought this board was like a big family. Now, I feel like an outsider - like the crazy old uncle that is alway placed in the corner and ignored. ;-)

JB, knowing you have interest in the Bay. I took a pic for you.

BTW... I'm only in the clique 2 weeks out of the year :D

Now that looks like fun! RO, I see only one 250 on the back of the boat. It seems like a couple of other engines must have fallen off, eh?:dunno:

If you had hung another engine on that POS ... even if had been a trolling motor ... it may have sank :D

I'm dying to know what kind of boat you wound up with. You taking your's next time?

It was 22' Harris Kayot deckboat which is a fine boat. HOWEVER... this rental company must never wash or do any maintenance that I could see. On the other hand the motor ran fine and never let us down. The only insturment that worked was the tach. Depth finder didn't work. Unless it had a 500 gal fuel tank that gage didn't work

I do plan on taking mine next time around. I do highly recommend renting a boat and exploring the bay. Just from a different company.

We have the same boat at the lake but it is an I/O.

We love it. It has a 350 Ford and it will boogie if you put some gas to it.

I see them on the lake here too and they are very nice boats. That one was on it's last leg though. Must be very durable or they wouldn't use them. I have rented boats in Sanibel and they are WAY better maintained! Clean and 4 stroke motors some with Yamaha Salt Water Series engines. Much more professional. Hell that place didn't even give me a chart for the bay? :dunno:

No chart + broken gas needle adds up to trouble. Good thing you know what you're doing.

We were on the bay one day when the thickest fog I've ever seen rolled in. We had to stop. We couldn't see five feet in front of the dang boat. We just drifted out of the channel (so we wouldn't get nailed) and sat it out for a couple hours.

No depth finder either... well... not one that worked ;-) . Out there in fog would not be good
