Here's a useless piece of trivia for you. Bill Lear bought the design for his first jet from Italy. It was designed as a two seat fighter trainer but was never used by the Italians. He tweaked the design a bit to come up with his first airplane

Sorry Singing Chick, He bought the rights to the plane to tweak his 8 track tape player, Before the tweak it was only a 2 track. Next Trivia and most interesting, how many passengers did the Lear 23 seat? Wonder if he had the tracks on his mind

I own 3 Lear's and find them to be wonderful.

I am still waiting a final NTSB report to be posted and it has been over a year!!!

My bad...It was a Swiss design...

"The starting point for what became the very symbol of the "biz jet" started life as an abortive attempt by a Swiss aircraft company to build a new ground-attack fighter aircraft, the FFA P-16. Development started in 1952 and prototypes were ordered the next year. The first prototype flew in 1955 and construction and testing continued until 1958 when an order for 100 was placed. This was reversed soon after due to a crash of the third prototype. Two additional prototypes were finished, the last in 1960, but the project was ended at this point."

He thought it made a good starting point for what he wanted to accomplish...

I won't throw a guess out there for the number of seats because the entry I found said how many. We'll let somebody else hazard a guess!

Since it appears that Darth is not around, anymore, it was 6 seats...8 with some modifications, but that would be really tight...
