Correct you are Geo! Just not at a low enough cost yet...comparatively. It'll happen. I think we will be much better off then - in many ways! :D

I think the economies of scale are only one small part of it. I believe the bigger obstacle is the powerful lobby of the megacorporations that represent our energy status quo.

Has anyone seen the documentary, "Who Killed the Electric Car"?

Maybe. But I know for sure that when it becomes more profitable for Exxon to provide alternative energies than it is for them to provide oil gas, & coal, they will make the switch. Profit is the best motivator.
