Yay, what wonderful news! I hope he was able to enjoy Easter with his family.

Fever came back at almost 103. :bang:

Good news is his walking seems to be stable. I think this will be one of bugs that takes another week to really get to 100%. He did hunt for eggs this morning, but everyone took it easy today and stayed in their respective homes resting. The little guy was still irritable and cranky last night at dinner. We think he might have a sinus infection. Will know more tomorrow after speaking with the pediatrician. Ugh.

Poor kid! I hope he is getting through the worst of it! I can't imagine how his parents (and all his family) must have worried.

Worry? You're not kidding. Thanks y'all for helping us get through it . We really appreciate it.

I had a touch of it for a couple of days, but it passed through me quickly. My legs hurt like hail for a day, felt under the weather and I didn't hold my cookies once. Today I was fine. :D

Mango, this might sound strange, but could it be Toxoplasmosis? This is a virus and it settles (goes dormant) in the nervous system. Severe flu like symptoms.....in fact, the symptoms are harder than the flu. My boodhound, The General got it (from a cat in the neighborhood). The General didn't eat the cat, but evidently the cat's poop and cats are carriers, but not infected. I remember gardening one day and stepping in cat poop in my front yard. We both got it. I couldn't get out of bed for two days......muscle aches, felt like a train had hit me. About a week later The General couldn't move, was in pain and was temporarily paralyzed. The Vet did a spinal tap to detect the problem. Steriods (other stuff, too) fixed him up, but it was touch and go for him.

The Vet told me then that humans can get this and more than 40% test positive for the antibodies, which means we've been infected. This is also why pregnant women are not ever supposed to handle litter boxes, etc.

Anyway, upon reading your last post, it triggered this memory and this info. might help the physician! Best wishes and I sincerely hope his fever is down immediately! That's still very, very high! ;-)

He has boogies. I don't think you get boogies with that. Sorry y'all had to go through that.

FYI- many people test POS for mono, but never had symptoms and little kids do get high temps when they are sick. The doctor has been calling all weekend for updates, so if she was concerned about his temp he would be at the hospital. This pediatric group is pretty good. But, thanks for the concern, Lynnieoleum.

I can't imagine how frightening this must be for the parents and family. What a tough couple of days. Hope things start out on an upward swing soon! Prayers still coming your way.
