It's back, and it seems to be the same show as ever. Considering how the move to Lifetime made me nervous, I see that as a Good Thing.

While I liked the concept of the All Stars challenge, I am puzzled by the winner since I thought he was one of the two worst on the night.

Onto the main show, and it seems well cast so far. I guess meth head is this season's Andre 3.0

Speaking of Andre, I guess he was off slumming with Tim at Red Lobster instead of doing the All Stars event.

Another PR fan! So far I have only watched the All Stars challenge. Pretty good. I wasn't crazy about Chris's work but I was happy for him. I thought they all had progressed well except Jeffrey.

I also was completely unimpressed with the winner on the All Star contest. I thought his clothing was ugly to be honest. As for Chris, he looked strung out and was sleeping all the time during the actual show! What the heck? I also was pretty unimpressed with the meth head on the new series. Seems to be alot of drama for the sake of drama with him. He definitely doesn't miss an opportunity to babble about his meth addiction! I actually agreed with the judges on the winner for that one though...

Chris posted on one of the big Runway blogs, saying that he had to deal with the side effects from a new diabetes medication as well as food poisoning while they were filming the show, and he also ended up with influenza the day after filming finished. And yes, he also has sleep apnea issues and is getting proper treatment for it, but given everything else that went on, it didn't matter if he was using his CPAP machine or not during that time, he was still going to be wiped out.

Makes me want to give the guy a hug if he isn't contagious anymore.

Thank you beachmouse, I didn't know that! That certainly makes sense then, they should have clarified that on the show as it portrayed Chris in a negative light...

All Stars:

I rename this "a few favorites and a bunch of jackasses who need 100K and another 15 minutes" - if it was the real "All Stars" I would have been watching Austin Scarlet, Chloe Dao, Red-haired lady w/ all the kids etc!

I thought Chris was a narcoleptic or something after he fell asleep again.

Santino was an even bigger arse than before - didn't know that was possible and he still makes truly hideous clothes!

Micheal Knight lost his talent when he changed his name to Mykael. Horrible stuff!

BTW - Who are these models who don't show up to be on national TV?

Seriously, I want to win the lotto and have Koto and Uli dress me!

New Season:

Once again I feel like they "cast" the show instead of looking for great designers. I watch for the creativity in the challenges and to see the designs - I could give a rat's patoot about "drama" especially the manufactured kind.

The guy who made the kaftan needed to have been sent home. Exactly why couldn't he have just slit the side seams when his model was bigger than her measurements? Exactly how was his model supposed to get the outfit ON and move if there was so little room for "extra inches". Yes, the space outfit was truly horrid, but it was finished and that model didn't have to appear on national tv basically naked.

The guy who was dismissed as being "too safe" had one of my favorite dresses - that and the ruffly orangy dress were my faves. The drapey red dress they all loved had a cool back, but added a lot of volume in the front.
