Sorry for the delay, I FINALLY got to see it last night! Reruns - the poor girl's DVR! :D

While I usually prefer the more crazy & creative challenges, I think letting them show who they are w/ real fabric in the first challenge is a good way to level the playing field...............hard to make excuses when you get fabric, free rein, work solo, and still produce crap!

I loved the winner's dress! (Even though I am SO over the one shoulder thing, but it's better than the droopy strapless I guess!) He did a great job of actually sewing and constructing something interesting, which I think bodes well for his future on PR. It's something that is pretty and real women would/could actually wear - double win IMO!

While I wasn't a huge fan of the loser's dress I didn't think it was the worst thing there (hello tan jacket and skirt on model so thin she was deformed and the white strapless top where my first thought was - did she just stuff one side and it's falling out or something?) - but it's an elimination I can deal with.

Remains to be seen if rooster punk boy is going to be the uber-hated neck tattoo of this season, but he seems to have a clue and some perspective - loved the strap detail on the back even though it was overshadowed by the giant red zipper. (Where did they get the zippers BTW? Off a different bench?)

Ping is probably going to surprise us - or be gone next show. The weird drapey stuff will at least escape critiques of bunching, ill fit, etc. but will grow old fast and won't translate to the weird challenges.

Anthony is already getting on my nerves - about half of it is funny, the rest just needs to go buh-bye! He claims to be from Birmingham/Atlanta - anyone know him? Is it editing or realistic?

So excited they are back in NY - hope it means this season will be a huge improvement over last!

I like that Nina and the Oompa Loompa seem determined that this season won't reward boring design like last season did. The top three were all risky looks in different ways.

Yes, and I hope they will be there as judges every week - I think that was a big issue last season as they didn't see that some were just repeats of prior designs or ripoffs of others.

So far I have been MUCH more impressed by this season's designers.

How did Jesus not get eliminated? Not saying I thought the denimy burlap deserved to win or anything, but she at least used the DESIGNATED material creatively and he was bad last time too.

The red strapless and the one the guy who won last time did were great dresses! Ping's crapola, not so much!

P.S. I hope the model who threw her under the bus gets eliminated - think that was a total nail in her coffin.

"You made the model look fat" has sent any number of designers home over the years, and Pamela's dress made a 110 pound girl look like she had an unacceptably huge by New York fashion standards butt.

Very true!

The EW reviewer also pointed out that (while I thought dyeing the burlap was a good idea), intentionally making a DENIM minidress for an industry party was just a BAD idea.

I thought several dresses in the last 2 shows have been very unflattering to the models - making them look like they have actual bellies & hips etc.

So apparently if you give these designers a great inspiration, a huge budget, and lots of time ...................... you get a total crapfest!

Yes, the second look (what was up with that) took time away from the first design, but does anyone think we would have gotten a better result if they hadn't done that? The looks were finished, just underwhelming.

I thought the 2 high ruffly collar looks were very cool and think a better (slimmer/fitted) skirt would have made the yellow/black gown much more interesting. The visual appeal of the black/white outfit was cool, but black pants w/ white stripes down the side?

Jesus should be eliminated just for the hideous waist on those harem pants.

What is with the models dissing their designers on the runway? Shooting themselves in the foot.

Hello everyone! This is one of my favorite shows. I think it is fun to watch how the designers interact with each other. Alot of cattiness going on and I find it interesting to see what they come up with for a design with what they have to work with. It is amazing what the judges go for sometimes though. The one that blew my mind is when the girl remained who had the models but showing (literally) with her design. I thought for sure she was going home. She did this past week finally. I am not a fashion nut, but I love the different personalities that are put together in a room and competing against each other. Some are really funny like some of the men who are on the show! They are cats to. Can't wait until next week! Now they have a show about the models who are on Project Runway. Talk about cattiness. Put a bunch of young female models in a house together and see what happens. They are all in it to win. If the designer wins the model wins also, I think $25,000 and something else.
