Sorry for the delay, I FINALLY got to see it last night! Reruns - the poor girl's DVR!
While I usually prefer the more crazy & creative challenges, I think letting them show who they are w/ real fabric in the first challenge is a good way to level the playing field...............hard to make excuses when you get fabric, free rein, work solo, and still produce crap!
I loved the winner's dress! (Even though I am SO over the one shoulder thing, but it's better than the droopy strapless I guess!) He did a great job of actually sewing and constructing something interesting, which I think bodes well for his future on PR. It's something that is pretty and real women would/could actually wear - double win IMO!
While I wasn't a huge fan of the loser's dress I didn't think it was the worst thing there (hello tan jacket and skirt on model so thin she was deformed and the white strapless top where my first thought was - did she just stuff one side and it's falling out or something?) - but it's an elimination I can deal with.
Remains to be seen if rooster punk boy is going to be the uber-hated neck tattoo of this season, but he seems to have a clue and some perspective - loved the strap detail on the back even though it was overshadowed by the giant red zipper. (Where did they get the zippers BTW? Off a different bench?)
Ping is probably going to surprise us - or be gone next show. The weird drapey stuff will at least escape critiques of bunching, ill fit, etc. but will grow old fast and won't translate to the weird challenges.
Anthony is already getting on my nerves - about half of it is funny, the rest just needs to go buh-bye! He claims to be from Birmingham/Atlanta - anyone know him? Is it editing or realistic?
So excited they are back in NY - hope it means this season will be a huge improvement over last!
