Gulf Power?s Solar PV Program will provide the company?s residential and commercial customers an incentive to encourage the installation of a solar energy system on their home or business. Gulf Power will offer an incentive of $2 per watt up to a maximum of $10,000 per installation of a qualified photovoltaic (PV) system."

Given the costs of installing the solar based on your recent house construction, that makes it even MORE of a no brainer!

And I have to tell you that we've been in our house 1 year and 2 days and we produced close to 800 kWh OVER what we used! In other words, we could have powered an EV, for our local driving with the extra. But we aren't set up for that and don't have an EV so it went straight out into our neighborhood and fed our neighbors clean, green, solar energy which is great too! Imagine would could be done with an entire community of solar!!!

The 30% tax credit from the Obama administration was a key decision making factor in our solar installation too btw. I wrote him and thanked him for that.
