SWGB, I don't understand what you are saying. Have these guys come out and said they are gay ? Do you think that conservatives will not vote for Christ if he is gay? I think you underestimate boomers and people in general. Looks to me that you have a chip on your shoulder and have not come to terms with your being gay. Grow up.

Zip, where have you been for the past couple years? Ever since we haven't had Katherine Harris to kick around anymore, the Crist is gay jokes are second to only Crist's self-tanner abuse jokes in the Florida political humor spectrum.
Actually this was a jab at a particular sowaller who is voting for Crist. Unfortunately this persons misguided theory is that a vote for Meek is a wasted vote and the only way to stop Rubio is by voting for Crist.
As far as me being uncomfortable with my sexuality I'm perfectly secure in that. I do find that people who have a tendency to want to tell others what they can and can't do in the privacy of their bedrooms are often jealous of what goes on in those bedrooms.
Name the last openly gay conservative that won an election.
I'm not a candidate, I won in a landslide ages ago. You're either truly new around here or just very adept at playing dumb.

I have never wasted one gay vote in my day....well, except maybe except for George McGovern in '72.....but, the point is Meek could not win this election against Rubio, even if Crist was not in it. Having Rubio in there will be just like having Jim DeMint "Junior" running the dad gum show here in Florida...He may even bring Anita Bryant out of retirement as his press secretary (remember her?)-- and, real "tea parties" (the fun ones) could be banned at the clubs in South Beach--in all seriousness, swgb, things can go very wrong for Florida and the other 47 with Rubio in office! He is cute though.
One good thing is that Meek's candidacy fortunately will bring out the same base that will, hopefully, send Sink to the Governor's office..
