I'm going to buy a bottle of regular Dawn today, for grease removal. Normally I use Lestoil for grease stains, thanks to my mama. It really works great, even on colors, BUT it smells awful, the entire house wreaks of Lestoil to remove one little clarified butter boo-boo.

Dawn's tag line used to be "gets the grease out", right?

Also, for removing stuck-on food from pots/pans/casseroles, I pour really hot water and powder or liquid Cascade, whatever i'm using, into the offending pot/pan and let sit overnight. The next day you just rinse and it comes right out. It's like manually doing your dishwasher's job. I have a crockpot soaking right now. Last night it was crusted with burnt barbecue sauce, today it will wipe right out.

My son just said, why the heck are you taking a picture of your dishwasher soap? He just doesn't get me.

I consider it "all purpose". It's a darn good shampoo and toothpaste

I carry a baggie of Capture carpet cleaner with me when I travel. I gently rub it into the stain and let it sit for 10 minutes (technically it's 30). Of course, it's a dry white powder, so an airport baggage inspector might think I'm carrying illegal drugs.
But Miss Kitty knows that I don't fly any more.
