I bought some new shoes this week! First, I bought the blue Keens (on sale!) for walking and kayaking in Maine. Then, I spotted these ALegria's on sale at the neighborhood shoe emporium. My last purchase, today, had to do with the bench and dog attack in WC in May.....

FTLOC...the puss is in das boot! I kept thinking it was a bad sprain and that the swelling and pain would go away. Two months later, I finally saw an ortho PA and had extensive xrays, they slapped das boot on me and I return for an MRI tomorrow. Oh, joy...we leave for Maine on Friday! :roll: Guess, I'll sit around in the crisp air, enjoy the view and eat my fill of lobster!

Mermy, your comment about the pity factor and airlines reminds me of something. Whenever daughter flew to Boston, she didn't want to sit alone in the Atlanta airport because she was always sad about leaving home. So we got the idea for her to use crutches, we'd ask the guard at the end of the security line if we could help her carry her bags to the gate, and they always let us through.

This is one kick a$$ boot...my toes are safe from attack! I kicked the MRI scheduler's metal desk when I stood up and I thought she was going to duck and cover! We both fell over laughing!

OMC...driving is awful! I practiced using the power seat button to speed up and slow down.

Now about those shoes, I have those Keen's in lime green and they are without a doubt, the most comfortable shoes ever for long walks. Especially when my plantar fasciitis is acting up.
