What is the deal with all these pretentious, hard to pronounce names for south Walton communities?

Alys is a tounge twister, nobody gets Carillon right on the first try......I almost think it is an intentional way for developers to distinguish 'newbies' from 'in the know locals'.

I swear, I want someone to name a town Vagina Beach, so all the locals can go around explaining that it's pronounced Vah-geen-ah Beach. -"It's some Italian word or something.....don't worry" we will all explain.

How in the heck do you pronounce that name? It sounds like it belongs over in the Middle East....maybe that is in the middle east of SoWal???

It's Latin for "four" pronounced "Qwa-tor."
