Those guys are sure busy...usually they come out when tort reform is mentioned.
Wonder if Lynnieoleum is sporting some turquoise?
Let me ask you a question. What is a tort? I have heard that if there were tort reform, MDs wouldn't run so many unnecessary tests to protect themselves from lawsuits, and that would reduce health care costs. Everyone in physical therapy yesterday was yapping against Obama and the proposed health care reform bill. (I am in PT for plantar fasciitis from running too much, bad knees from getting excited and falling when GT beat Miami last fall, a back injury from picking up heavy Rubbermaid containers from the owners closet, and a neck injury from being thrown to the ground and handcuffed by two strong police officers when I had an anxiety attack after being pulled over for running a yellow light and being verbally abused by the two said officers). I mentioned the tort thing. MY PT guy said that every time they do surgery, there is a 1 out of 10 chance of a blood clot if the patient complains of leg pain. Low probability, right? But if there is a clot, the person's chances of dying are

. This is what happened in my Mom's case. So a government screening board shouldn't be allowed mandate against a test with a low probability of a positive result when so many lives are saved because of that test, right?
At that point I stopped my argument because what the heck is a tort? I can explain Godel's Incompleteness Theorem, but not this.
