In honor of DD, I am starting this thread where everyone can share some good news, no matter how big or small!

Here's mine...

I had a guy named Micah and his coworkers, Antonio and Antonio come today and work on all my outside (and some inside) doors. Remember I have a pucking old house and I have been working on ways to save energy and keep my house from leaking. I am happy to report that everything works great and they were super nice to boot! They also put the towel bars back up in the powder bath! I am in Honey Do heaven!

P.S. The price was right, too!

Fabulous! Can you send Daryl and his other brother Daryl to Jogya, please? I, too, have a mighty old home, which is drafty and leaky.......but, I LOVE it!

Love the thread, too - you are an absolute genius!! MWAH~~~~

I've got some!

Went to Ga last week to see the family & celebrate my niece Karis' 1st birthday. Karis was born with ONH, the leading cause of blindness, therefore her developmental milestones are a bit behind. I'm happy to report that she is now crawling , pulling up , and standing alone momentarily. This is really good news, and it was so special to see her and my children interact with each other.

Great thread Kitty!

AAWWW Sunspotbaby! This is lovely, heart-warming news!! I don't know what ONH is, but I will look it up; and, of course sending good energy and prayers your way!!

That is good news, for sure!

If y'all are going to DC, be aware it's not warm up there in March or April. Possibly not May, either. And, "not warm" is an understatement!

Love all this great news! Here's mine :)

 I have some great news I've been holding back. This past year I've gone through a lot of things I've not shared. I did post about the two wrecks I was in, but I also had a minor stroke stemming from a horrific migraine. I have had this before and it took 6 months to get my vision and speech back, but that was a long time ago in NOLA. This time was not as bad but still gave me some things I had to deal with.

A Sowaller helped me tremendously and kept me going and that person is our own.....Minnie! I so appreciate her visits, her calls, gifts, cards, e-mails and funny ways about her that made me laugh and forget many things I was struggling with. Minnie may not live in Sowal, but that didn't stop her!

Now! Do you want to hear the best part??? Minnie is taking me, at no expense to myself, to Disney World for a week to stay in this wonderful Disney 2 bedroom suite. I've needed to get away and she came to my rescue surprising me with this. We leave this Sunday morning 6:00 a.m.

I've always taken the kids....now I get to be a kid! YEYYYYY
SPECIAL THANKS TO A GREAT FRIEND MINNIE!!!!!
 Everyday she sends me photos of what she's going to show me and places we will go and wonderful places to dine.

:DSo that's my good news....isn't it pretty d a r n special!!!! :love::clap::love:

Aww come on, it's not that bad unless you're from somewhere like Florida. ;-)

I will have been there for 18 days in five separate trips by mid-April. I have to admit though that teens and snowing in January will wake you up.

The Scootermobile has been sorely in need of a washing - tried to use the automated carwash thingy and it wouldn't work so I let it go for a couple more weeks ...................... and today someone came by and offered to wash my car for me for cheap. :D
