So on Monday, in the next county over, this guy gunned down his own family with an assault rifle and then shot himself. (One of his sons escaped after his father tried to gun him down, and missed.)
Yesterday in Tampa, some piece of sheet thug threw his girlfriend's baby out the window while driving down the interstate.
Today, I read that a former "friend" of ours from our old church - whose company was raided by the feds in 2007 -- helped said company "succeed" by shortchanging the care of kids on Medicaid. Rather than spend most of the money they got from the state to provide mental health services for these children, company officials skimped on care, inflated expenses and kept the difference. This guy made MILLIONS by selling stock before the raid. The stock is worth one-sixth of what it was, but hey -- they just finished building a nice addition to their house!
Rough week for Florida kids so far! I am so thankful that Deli Love's granddaughter is going to be OK, that news is a speck of light in what has been a grim week.
