...made it out of the tunnel and into SoWal! DD is correct...it's a mofo long a$$ trip, no matter which way you go! Three hours of nonstop rain in TX slowed us down, but we made it in 11 hours and 50 minutes. Skunky guided us through the Skunky way shortcut, but I am telling you, being in LA for most of the day makes it seem like hail...especially since Mr. K would not stop at any casino for a quick slot shot!! swgb...that flag was ginormous!

We must have been the talk of the WC Inn, as I was told when we checked in that we were booked to stay for 73 nights. Wonder how much trouble and funn I can pack in that time?

It's good to be home.

NoHall...glad for the good mood! Did they fix your foot? I am going to go visit the scene of my ankle crime this morning. Wish me well....that bench still freaks me a little.

We have the field trips planned. We'll have to stop by the Driver's License office on the way to Ms. Newby's for you Florida ID. ;-)

Well, kids, I'm off to get an MRI because my doctor basically told me, "Wow. I don't know what the hail is wrong with you! You shouldn't be in this much pain!" (He did make sure I got the MRI today instead of in a week.)

I didn't bother to look up the "rants" thread because I think this warrants a stop at Dairy Queen.

Hope you get all of this resolved ASAP.

^5! I so deserved that cute violin guy! Packing complete. I can breathe again! It never fails to consume me!

What I hate is packing up to leave SoWal.

On another note, this is pretty random -- I was just trying to delete some of the boldfaced blue thread titles from Quick Links on SoWal like I do with some of the boldfaced blue subjects on my Blackberry. BTW it didn't work. Reminds me of when I'm sleepy upon arriving at work and try to open my office door with my car's remote control.

We're finally starting to dry out a little. Still lots of wet leaves around though. Slimy, wet leaves.

"A friend in need is a friend indeed"

Mr. Kitty found himself in a pickle yesterday, as he discovered he had left his crackberry back in the kitty kondo on the way to VPS. Between him, me and the brainstorming of jdarg, a plan was hatched. A huge thank you to bdarg for saving the day....he went to the kitty kondo, found the crackberry and drove half way to deliver it to me. I then was able to put it in Mr. K's luggage to make the next flight to Dallas. How lucky we are to have such fabulous friends. American Airlines crew at VPS...you rock, too!

Then, bdarg drove me on to and off the beach! This man is a true blue friend! I heart those dargs!
