I too was very disappointed that they were not true Southern Belles. They are all nouveau riche which isn't very interesting to me.

Amen to that, Franny! I don't know why they call it "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" . There's nothing real about any of these "ladies". I am not sure any of them are even from Atlanta.

I didn't see it...no TiVo here.

But, if you think back to all these shows, what REAL housewife has time to do a reality show? I know I would have been screaming at all the camermen to put the damm cameras down and go pick up one of my kids or go to the grocery store!

I missed it. But from the preview episode I agree that they aren't "ladies" and they made me miss the housewives from NY. (who I can barely stomach)
I like the original Orange County show best.

You are so right gtbm! You know the show Girls Next Door? Holly and Hef have broken up! According the article I read this morning, Hef told Holly si months ago that they would not wed or have children. She has now gone to TMZ? and given them an interview about the break up. She is still living in the mansion bu not in his bedroom. There are 19 yo twins living in the mansion that may be his next new gf's............ too young imo! Love them reality shows!

This is an absolute waste of television time. There incredibly insulting to a real southern house wife and actually insulting to themselves. A true example of nouveau riche trash.
Now with that being said, as Kevin Spacey said in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" or something like that, names and titles escape me most of the time, "Nouveau riche is better than no riche at all".
Its just a horrible show, tacky tacky tacky

it does upset me that atlanta and the south are being represented in this manner, but it's reality television and i think people, hopefully, know that atlanta and the south are not really this way.

We watched this last night, what a bunch of trash. The NBA players wife was the closest thing to class, but I'm sure she's gonna get sucked in real quick. I feel sorry for the REAL housewives in Atlanta that are probably just horrified by this train wreck. The only reason I'm going to keep watching is because I just know a high heel is coming off and going in someone's forehead.

Oh and that girl Kim with the sugar daddy. How classy is it to change in a gas station parking lot? For that matter who meets a "designer" in a gas station parking lot?
