Book her on a 12 hour offshore trip with Cottontop and fire up the grill when she gets back home lugging 50 pounds of fresh seafood! YUMMY! Did I ever mention that I LOVE FISH?

AB (or anyone),

Why is it that the Red Tide kills fish near the shoreline but the fishing offshore is hopping? Is Red Tide localized to the shoreline or close in to the surf?

Just thought you might know. :dunno:

Sounds like Red Tide is clearing out in the Eastern Lake area. I'm not reading anything about the coughs so am hoping this is going, going, gone!! It surely put a wrinkle in our family beach trip last week, but hopefully will be no more when we return in a few weeks. Thanks everyone for keeping us updated on this!

The water looks much more clear on destincam than it has at any point over the last three weeks. Maybe that's a good sign.

I'll be there Wednesday. Just one swim in the gulf without having to worry about getting sick would be worth the trip.

Yes it does -- the water on cam2 looks awesome! The Surf Report at www.mrsurfs.com also says the following:

"RED TIDE is just about gone if not completely by now.- YEAH! GREEN FLAG- Water is Emerald Green in lower 80s."

Hopefully it is clearing out. I'd love to see some clear water next week & not have to wear a surgical mask at the beach.

My wife just came back from our house in the Seagrove Eastern Lake area last night and she said that the wind is blowing out (South) and as of yesterday morning it appeared the Red Tide is going bye bye. :clap_1: :clap_1: :clap_1:

I was on the beach in Dune Allen and BMB this morning. The beach is looking much better. No red tide, water is clearing, some great shells, and some wide beaches!

Now, if they'd only get rid of that ugly brown sand!!

As far as I know, there is not brown sand in eastern lake area of seagorve beach. My wife was there for 3 days and nonoe reported. I am afraid that someone will truck it in and back over/thru the remaining dunes to try and repair and backfill Ramsgate or Seaward I and II by the county access. Haven't done it yet but in Nov/Dec when noone is looking.... :bang: :bang:
