Red Tide??

We beached it all weekend - and I'm not feeling so hot. Is Red Tide rolling in the area? I know it's that time of the year....blah. Just want to see if I'm going crazy.

Red Tide can be very localized. I was at Grayton for a while, yesterday, and didn't feel any symptoms of Red Tide, but that doesn't mean you didn't. Where were you beaching it?

Symptoms of red tide? Like allergies or sumpin'?

Yesterday we where in Grayton most of the day and then on Saturday we where between Seaside and Watorcolor. It was hard for me to even go outside when I lived in Tampa when red tide was in the area.

For me, the symptoms are closely related to being in a room with a lot of chlorine -- difficult to breath, constriction of throat, burning in the nose, burning eyes, upper respiratory cough, running nose, and sneezing.

It's back to school time and already the sniffles and bugs are going around- and allergies are starting.

Same here - but I also feel light headed and my ears hurt as well. Good times.

I've been wondering if that was the problem, too. But I think it's just a nasty little upper respiratory bug that is going around. Skunky says he's seen tons of it at the office. Plus, last time the red tide made me feel like I needed to cough, like a tickle in the back of the throat. And I felt worse outside than inside. Whatever this is, I feel the same whether I'm inside the house or not.

I experience the same thing Smiling Joe does. I have not felt that sensation yet.

I have it, (with a deeply sore throat,) and I don't know what Red Tide is. I figured it was allergies.
