Polluting pets: the devastating impact of man's best friend - Yahoo! News

by Isabelle Toussaint and Jurgen Hecker Isabelle Toussaint And Jurgen Hecker – Sun Dec 20, 3:23 pm ET
PARIS (AFP) – Man's best friend could be one of the environment's worst enemies, according to a new study which says the carbon pawprint of a pet dog is more than double that of a gas-guzzling sports utility vehicle.

Gives a whole new meaning to blaming it on the dog.

Big Government ? Blog Archive ? Build-A-Climate-Scare: Why You Should Boycott Build-A-Bear

Girl Elf: Santa, it’s gone!
Papa Elf: It’s gone, It’s gone!
Santa: What’s gone?
Girl Elf: Tell ‘em, Dad!
Papa Elf: The North Peak.
Santa: A mountain? A mountain’s gone? How is that possible?
Ella the polar bear: Santa, sir, that’s why I’m here. That’s why we’re here. The ice is melting!
Santa: Yes, my dear, we know, the climate is changing. There’s bound to be a little melting.
Ella: It’s worse than that, Santa, a lot worse! At the rate it’s melting, the North Pole will be gone by Christmas!”
Santa: My, my…all of this gone by next Christmas? I don’t think so.
Ella: No sir, not next Christmas, this Christmas! The day after tomorrow!
The children are the future, warp their minds and let them pray to Father Gore.

Wyoming is loaded with alligator skeletons. Why?

A: The planet is dynamic. The very earth itself is moving beneath your feet.

We need to get used it. Above all, drop the pretense that we fully understand "life the universe and everything" and can model it with such certainty. Certainty has been way oversold.

If you believe that self-appointed climate experts can correctly model the heat balance of the entire planet based on very limited data, why haven't these same scientists modeled the outcome of the ping pong balls in a state run lottery? It's far less complicated.

I mentioned a few posts up that one of the biggest deniers of Global Warming is Saudi Arabia.

Here's a great article in Newsweek entitled:

GLOBAL WARMING:The Truth About Denial

Global Warming Deniers Well Funded - Newsweek.com

I find it telling about Saudi Arabia and also in this article it said that a conservative think tank long funded by ExxonMobil, offered scientists $10,000 to write articles undercutting the new report and the computer-based climate models.

I'm just sayin' there's good reason for many to not want restrictions.

I will sell you all the carbon offsets you desire at one dollar each. The more you buy, the cooler you will be. I promise.

Sadly, this is so on target. Follow the money in this climate change story. It won't lead you to Exxon-Mobil. However, it will lead you to serious conflicts of interest where major promoters of global warming are gaining huge sums of money from their "green" companies and organizations.

Now why would a multi-billion dollar a year company lie to us? It's clearly that loaded guy Al Gore.

Exxon Mobil year net sets mark, but profit down for quarter - Jan. 30, 2009
$45.22 billion

$100 million

Now let's put those in visual terms:

Keep in mind the actual comparison is income versus net worth so feel free to draw your own conclusions.

Here's a link to the chart so you can view it in various other forms.

I agree that there are benefits to many when GLOBAL WARMING is shouted - they have their special interests no doubt! So we are in agreement on that one. But it can not be ignored that many "nay-sayers" are not merely looking for the scientific truth, they are looking to protect their interests as well.

That's all I was going for.
