I save up these long emails that are to be forwarded. Then when someone sends me more than one of them, I barrage them with forwards. They get the message.;-)

What I hate is the secretary who sends everyone these forwards, plus distasteful jokes and gross photos that she thinks are funny but have no humor in them in my opinion (and I'm definitely not a prude). She sends them from her work email. I told her that I didn't want to receive them. I also told her that she'd better stop sending them from her work email while she's at work. I told her that if someone wanted to fire her, all the evidence would be stored in a backup.

She keeps sending them.

I do get some great forwards (which then get posted on Sowal) or articles sent, but those are usually overshadowed by the political hysteria, dire warnings (that are false), and the people who send 5 pages of addresses and forward info so that I lose interest before even seeing what the hail it was.

I have been on a multi-year campaign to get people to 1) delete the extraneous info 2) check everything on snopes.com first 3) stop sending me crap like emails that "curse" my lovelife or luck if I don't forward it to "x" people.

One person was so bad about forwards and mass e-mails (got 10 in a day once) that I finally sent an email saying that while I would love to get a personal email from her, I didn't want to be included on any more mass emails or get any more forwards. Offended her so much I didn't get any more forwards.

Thanks Lynnie. That's funny! I can think of a looong list of people to send that one to, but I fear I'd offend them. On the other hand, maybe they share the same sentiment, but fear offending others. . . .and so on. . . .

Another thing I don't like is people broadcasting my email address. They should Bcc all of the recipients. I've called many people out on this. It's a matter of privacy.

Yeah - spammers collect those email addresses in the to: as well as in the body, which scooterbug44 mentions......all of that can be captured.

My junk mail comes in waves....getting the foreign land pharmacy stuff right now.

In a week or two will be getting the Nigerian $60MM transfer mails.....and, on it goes.

I got one from a guy in the Philippines and I decided to mess with him a bit. It was classic! Dropped him a note that I need to know who he is before I start transferring $ for him. He actually sent me a copy of his passport, which I forwarded to the bank he was trying to defraud!

Just set up a message rule that sends the message back to the person that sends you the forward.
