Relocation from Huntsville, Alabama - Need LTR

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for the kind email. Sounds like our families have a lot in common. I work for a large defense contractor and I'm going to work for one when I get to Destin. My wife is retired Air Force as she was a Military Police Officer and the last 2 years she spent as an office manager. My daughter will be 9 in June. What part of Huntsville do you guys live? We're near Madison off of 72.

My wife and I would love to meet up. Maybe the kids could play together and we could cook out. We have met some excellent folks on here as well and I need to give 2 thumbs up to Linda Kedy. We met her in person last weekend....wonderful person!

We live in the Jones Valley area, in the middle of town off Drake Ave (near Randolph School). My husband is probably one of the few engineer types who live where we do -- most of them seem to live in the Madison area or farther south than we do. Seems like every other person in our neighborhood is either an attorney, doctor, or dentist. :roll:

Sounds great about cooking out. Looks like we are going to be closing on our place June 30 -- but I'll let you know if we're down there between now and then!

That's a long commute from the beach. Being close to the ocean is nice but you might consider something near the water on the north bay side. Living south of the bay your stuck paying fees to cross the bridge or driving out of your way to go up 331. From Sandestin to the airport is 45 minutes, up to Crestview probably another 10 so your talking about a 2 hour daily commute. Alternatively you could also look at the Ft Walton area but then you'll have to deal with traffic. Just my 2 cents.
