Is any of the coffee fair-trade and/or organic? Many of us look for this as a way to do some good when we spend our dollars.

Yes, we do have a selection of fair trade organic coffees. One of our daily blends is usually a fair trade organic, this week it's a Nicaragua Segovia. Most of our hot teas are FTO and our spiced Chai teas are organic.

Took the family there for the first time this morning. Very cozy atmosphere and excellent service. I specifically enjoyed the music selection and the Numi tea. Welcome to the neighborhood.

On a separate note I wish businesses (except for sports bars) would remove all tvs and gumball machines from their premises. I may be in the minority, but I am more likely to frequent an establishment that is not constantly blaring meaningless CNN (or Fox ) stories. Except, of course, if it deals with Mark Kate and Heath.

Hi Phillip. Thanks for the nice comments. As to the TV, I understand. We do have a large percentage of our morning customers who want to see the news, but we usually keep it muted and on close caption unless a customer asks to hear a segment. Well, except for on American Idol night!

If you are asking about the gumball machine, then you obviously don't have any kids. As for the TV, my intention is not to criticize because I know in our culture it is a necessity for most. I just wanted to express that their is a population, albeit small, that prefers not to watch tv everywhere they go. With that said, I was at the coffee shop drinking my coffee, while writing a number I was getting from talking on my cell phone, while I was checking my email listening to my ipod, trying to talk to the person next to me. Perhaps, the tv is the least of my worries.

jdarg and I had lunch at the coffee house twice last week! enjoyed delicious hot soup and sandwich specials both times. perfect for a cold day.

didn't even notice the tv. and I usually do - especially if the news is blaring. it can be distracting.

phillip - I bet you won't complain if the sports channel is tuned in.
