We have already voted in Florida, and we will only be bystanders of the Feb. 5th (Super Tuesday) vote. Here is an updated poll to see if we, members of SoWal, have changed our minds regarding the election, or see if we match-up with the events of Feb. 5th.

I voted in only one. To be perfectly blunt, I can't stand either of the Democrats. I know, I know, many of you can't stand any of the Republicans.

UUUUUUUHHHHHHH????????????

On both of these polls, can we add a category called "None of the above"?:dunno:

Not impressed with any of them. Too old and pesimistic, I guess, but..........

actually, I could live with McCain, but not sure how the conservative route is going to improve our direction at this point. a vote in this category is a vote for more of the same, IMO. these guys are fighting over who is most like Reagan. who is most conservative. can you get more regressive?

If I hear Mitt say he's in the House of Reagan one more time. sure, Reagan was a great guy. But, his policies, reaganomics, eetc were never shown to be all that as far as I have read or heard. or were they? it was my understanding that his economic policies failed just as bush's has.

According to Rush Limbaugh, to whom I'm listening right now, McCain is anything but a Conservative. I agree. I personally think that McCain will propose what he thinks is best for the country and work to get just exactly that. He is honest and has integrity, something I find lacking in most of the other candidates. I also think he will listen to his advisors and if they can show him to be wrong or misinformed, he will correct his policy accordingly, something Bush hasn't always done. My father, uneducated by today's standards, use to say "Son, a wise man will often change his mind, a fool never does". Those words have held me in good stead many times. I think he is by far the best candidate running at this time but then I am familar with the military mind set and still live by it to a great degree. Rush, on this subject at least, is a fool. But then for him its not the first time.

Andy A. - I agree with you!

and love what your Dad said - why can't politicians accept this: a wise man will often change his mind, a fool never does. so important for a leader of our country to be able to learn and listen and adapt as needed. even change a position. oh horrors!

yes, I think Rush et al. are really wrong on this one, more than usual. what the hail are they thinking? I think McCain is the GOPs only hope. and I could even live with him. not that I will vote for him. but I would not be at all unhappy. not as I was and have been with Bush.
