We are currently seeking a highly motivated and assertive Security Alarm Installation Technician who can flourish and enjoy a fast paced culture focused on teamwork. Responsibilities include the upgrading, installing, and repairing residential alarm systems for our extensive product lines for residential applications. Candidates will be responsible for supporting the Fort Walton Beach to Panama City, Florida market area. Below is a list of qualifications that are required for the position.
Requirements:
- Experience installing or servicing
o Fire Alarm Systems: SilentKnight or FireLite
o Burglar Alarm Systems: DSC, GE / Concord / ITI, or Honeywell
o CCTV or Camera
o Access Control / Door Access
o Low voltage wiring and circuits
- Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings
- Prior experience with electrical/electronic equipment and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner at all times
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Background and Training:
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a 10 year lived-in/worked-in background check
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- GED plus some technical training
- FASA/BASA 14 Hr Course New (7hr if renewal, we will cover the cost of the certification for new or renewal)
Required Equipment:
- Vehicle that can hold a 6-foot ladder
- 6 – 8 foot ladder
- Extension ladder
- CAT5 crimper
- Meter
- Pliers, screw drivers, and basic hand / power tools
Pay:
Level 1: 0-2 years experience, $16.50/hr, 40 bonus points threshold, $2.50 per point bonus pay out
Level 2: 2-4 years experience, $17.50/hr, 50 bonus point threshold, $3.00 per point bonus pay out
Level 3: 4+ years of experience, $20/hr, 55 bonus point threshold, $3.00 per point bonus pay out
Points are acquired by providing up-sell to the customer upon arrival to their location.
Following the successful completion of the 6 month contract, the individual will be brought on as a permanent employee with our client and given a company vehicle, gas card, and tools.
