Right here!
I've been trying to come up with a good gift for my sister for xmas and hit on this idea when I decided to buy my own. Thing is there are so many styles and brands and online stores that sell them, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to judge the good from the bad from the awful. Curious if anyone here on SoWal can recommend a certain brand or whatever. I'm looking to buy them as a matching set as a gift.

Baggu for example seems to be popular, but I'm not a fan of their color selection/matching sets:

BAGGU

Right now I'm leaning toward EnviroSack:

Envirosax Graphic Series reusable bags

I like the designs, but I'm not sure they are as convenient as Baggu.

Anyone have any thoughts/opinions?

Great gift idea! Actually, my favorites are the canvas bags from Red Wine Festival and other 'events.' I like the ones you're looking at, but prefer a cotton canvas myself, which is even more eco friendly (overall production) than nylon and polyester. I don't have far to go with my groceries (one block), so am not concerned with spills, leaks, etc. If I do have a leak, the canvas goes in the washing machine with no issues.

I actually think the best "reusable shopping bags" are the ones from the stores like Publix or Target. I really think the flat reinforced bottom and square sides make it easier to pack and carry items w/o squishing.

I use those for groceries, have a canvas bag for the Farmer's Market, and a cloth/plastic bag made from a flour sack that I use for other items.

Go to reuseit.com. The acme bag is great but lots to choose from. Comes in black, no show dirt. Folds like a brown paper bag- super strong. Also have them made of recyclables. Lots of sackers comment favorably. I gave them as gifts too!!
