Thinking of you, Kimmi - may she rest in peace.

This may seem insensitive to bring this up right now, but there is an online store called Forever Pets that has a beautiful selection of urns. They did a wonderful job when I lost my cat Puddin'. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Thanks for the reccomendation. The vet said they would put the ashes in an urn, but I thought about getting a special one. I just hope I don't tump them over. God I would do something like that.

We call my grandmother Puddin...but I'm sure your cat was MUCH nicer!

Kimmi, very sorry to hear about your loss. Our pets really are members of our families and one of the few really unconditional sources of love we ever see in this life. I know you will miss Roxie greatly. She obviously had a wonderful doggie life with you and your family. I hope that you will make a Roxie scrapbook, when you are feeling better. When I think of our Cecil and miss him, the scrapbook comes out and always makes me smile through the tears. Hope you are doing something really special for yourself this weekend.

I am sending you hugs my little kimmi. I have told you before...you will cry and cry, it will get better, but it takes time and right now you can't imagine it will. I just know that our Missy is chasing Roxie around right now and showing her where the treats are.

God Bless you little Roxie.

I haven't posted on the SoWal boards in ages but I still read almost every day, and I'm so touched by this thread. I lost my beloved Border Collie mix a year ago, and only those who have dogs in their lives understand how hard it is. I had boxers when I was a kid and they are great dogs - natural clowns, lovers and smart as anything. I feel so terrible for you Kimmi. You gave Roxie a great life, which will be a comfort to you. I now have a new dog (I have attempted to attach a pic, don't know if it will work) in my life who came to me from Death Row (i.e. the pound) and has given me so much joy in the past 10 months that I can't believe it. He and I send all our best wishes and good thoughts to you.

Dreamsicle....what kind words for Kimmi! The irony of it all is that those of us who love our animals so much are given such a gift...but so much heartache when they leave us. It took us 18 months to get another puppy....and what joy she has brought us. Like my son said...a house isn't a home without a dog!
