What about real dollars? Do you have good lead where I can find lots and lots of them?

I saw them too around BMB and Redfish but I was on a yolo and I was too chicken to dive down in 10 foot of water to get them. We have seen 2 sharks come right up to the shore this trip. We were farther out in the water than the sharks when we spotted them. There were sooo many sand dollars though! I would love to take even 1 home with me as a special treasure. I have never seen so many just lying on the ocean floor. It was a pretty site!

there are 100's in chest deep water
Between life guard stand and redfish umbrellas
My wife (5'-7") has gotten over 100 to make
Christmas crosses. They are actually out there now.

You do realize Sand dollars are living creatures, right? The dark colored ones you are hauling out of the gulf en masse are still alive.

"Take nothing but pictures" should apply to tourists and (gasp!) locals alike.

I have to agree with Campbell, if even each of our 150,000 tourists took "just one" it would be a huge detriment. In addition tourists think they're great until the animal inside dies and starts to stink, then they just throw it off the balcony.

I personally think they look like giant sphincter muscles.
