Yep!

Seriously though - Sowallers need to greatly change their typical driving habits for these conditions - slower speeds, smooth and gradual lane changes & turns, and GREATLY INCREASED BRAKING DISTANCES!

P.S. A 4 wheel drive vehicle does not have better brakes than any other vehicle.

For what it's worth, before you apply brakes, shift into neutral. this has never failed any time I've had to drive on snow or ice. You folks be safe.

With the increased possibilitys of icy roads i'm surprised they have not closed down schools in Walton for a snow day.

This would have been ones of those days I just went ahead and let them stay home. Not often they get a "hint of snow" day. Not worth the hassle of getting them up at 5:30am, fed, dressed etc. only to have the news say it had been canceled while you are out waiting for the bus at 6:30am.

I've never seen so many snow-birds wearing jackets and long pants. I hope they don't fly farther south next year.

If it does get all icy, the snowbirds will be our best drivers for about 24 hours!:yikes:

:rotfl: I think your prediction is spot on. It will be interesting to see a Canada license plate pass me for once!
