Schoolgirl's birthday cake banned under healthy eating rules - Telegraph
I understand why this sounds SOOOOO Big brother but I get it. Why not have a party at home and have 100 cakes - just don't bring it to school. After all, if there are 30 kids or even 20 in a class that's 20 to 30 times as many cakes over the course of the year. Then there's Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Valentines Day and countless other holidays when junk is brought into the classroom. It is very difficult if you are a child who can't eat wheat or sugar, etc... to have to say no while others sit and partake. That's why I think the party should be a private one at home or at a party place.
