This really ticks me off. So dishonest.Its on shell seekers court.....south on 393....east on 30a (about .2 miles) south onto shell seekers. I believe its a little subdivision called Seaside...but definitly in Santa Rosa Beach area.
Am not sure how big/small the area is...could just be a handful of houses.

Our home has a name. Recently someone built a lower-end house in the same area and gave it the same name. I tried to reason with the owners and Beach Rentals of South Walton that if someone googled their house and saw a link to our home and rates, they wouldn't rent their house with the same name because our rates are much higher than their rates due to our amenities. BRSW washed their hands of the matter, and apparently the owner refused to change the name of their rental house.
A lot of misrepresentation exists for online representations of rentals. I feel sorry for first-time renters in SoWal.

this street is just east of Sunrise Beach..newer houses, I believe there are two very new ones that recently were listed as long term rentals.
Certainly not Seaside, but it is a nice area. Maybe this is it? It is huge 5 bedrms and it is for rent. It has a nice view from the 2nd floor living room as I remember, and a good view from one bedroom.

It is not uncommon for neighborhoods to describe themselves as having "Seaside-style" homes - with the white picket fences, metal roofs and cottage-style homes. It is usually clear what they mean. Sunrise Beach homes fit this description.
It may be that this home was represented that way and the renter just read it wrong.
Then again, I have seen some advertised that the owners were clearly trying to make people think it was Seaside.

I believe you will enjoy this location. Within walking distance of several places to eat, artist shops and 100 feet off the beach or less. Nice walking trails right on 30-A.
The information in the vrbo is misleading. But this does look like a very nice house and Ash is right in that most would consider it a desirable location unless you wanted closer to Seaside.

In looking at the VRBO site, their location field in the rental description is obviously used for search tags. They have all the following listed:
Seaside, Santa Rosa Beach, Beaches of South Walton, Florida North West, Florida, USA (Blue Mountain Beach, Seaside, Santa Rosa Beach)
It's the same for every listing on that page. They're just trying to get you to the area. The actual description doesn't misrepresent it at all...

But it sure doesn't help anyone know where it is at.
In researching vacation rentals I have found Beachseekers.com to be very helpful in their descriptions, locations and info given along with maps. They have one of the best websites for 30-A rentals that I have used.
We have never rented through them but certainly appreciate how detailed they are!

I think it's just the VRBO tags, and I have seen ads for "Seaside-Style" properties, but folks should be very careful not to call themselves Seaside, unless they actually are in Seaside. The name is trademarked, and unless things have changed since I worked out there, SCDC is very protective of it.
