Again I am looking at the Seagrove Beach cam and can see lots of dark stuff along the shoreline. Is it sargassum?
Ahh yes. The late summer rotten remnants of June Grass. But don't worry I'm sure it's nontoxic it just burns a little bit. :p

The burn is just low level redtide concentrations.

Once the seaweed completely hits the shore it's time to expect a big storm.

There is very little seaweed in Blue Mountain right now. This picture is from July 3. Hard to predict what the conditions will be like in the coming weeks.PXL_20230703_223321245.jpg

I don't ever remember a lighter summer for June grass or other seaweed. What gives?
