I know people who work for Carter in present day, and they have no major complaints about him.

remember when he would make it look like he was a normal guy by carrying his own suitcases off air force one? they were empty.

remember when he would make it look like he worked hard by getting to the oval office early? he did and took naps in the oval office

wouldnt allow secret service to say hello to him...

would blame them for stealing when it was his staff that stole-food.

and there was a time when he tried to kill a dog for barking to loud at this georgia home.

and the list goes on......

he's a complete phoney hense his incredibly failed presidency.

I did not know about this with Jimmy Carter, but could never consider doing such an act.

There is a new dog in my neighborhood that mimicks a siren for ....oh, about an hour after siren is long gone. Glad he lives here and not where someone would poison him, etc. That is baffling to me.

And, I didn't know all of these things about Carter. I've met him and he is a nice man......maybe with skeletons?

i think everyone is nice when you first meet them.

I was too young to really remember his Presidency, but I agree in that he wasn't a good President.
