If there are Secular Homeschooling families in Walton County, I would appreciate getting in contact with you. If you prefer, feel free to send a private message. Hope to hear from other people who are teaching their children at home.

Would love to be able to help. We homeschooled our boys in grammar school, but when they reached middle school age, we enrolled them in Seaside Neighborhood School. There weren't enough secular homeschoolers in the area to meet their increasing needs for peer socializing. That's been a few years so I hope there are more here now, and wish you the best in finding the support you need.

Okaloosa County at one time had a program called Blended School that was an a-la-carte program for homeschoolers, and our boys enjoyed that -- they welcomed students from neighboring counties. Don't know if that's still going on or not.

My daughter, who is 14, is in her second year with the Florida Virtual School and she loves it and I have been happy with it as well.

I have a very nice neighbor with 2 daughters (13 and 8?) who moved here from Sanibel Island and homeschools. If you would like to PM me your email or phone number I will be glad to give it to her. She doesn't do SoWal. The girls are so nice. They participate in a local 4H club and have outings with other homeschoolers.
