My father in law served in the Navy in WWII. He was aboard the Lexington when it sank and lived through that nightmare. He just received a commemoritive patch for the Lexington. Are their any Navy folks that could help me in purchasing a Navy jack/windbreaker of some sort that I could sew the patch on. He lives in assisted living now but I know he would love to proudly wear this patch. I went to the Pensacola base site but don't see a way to purchase anything. I would be greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks...Jennie

I sent your post to some friends of mine in Grayton. Maybe they can help you out. Will keep you posted.

Tomorrow would be a good day to tour Pensacola and the National Museum of Naval Aviation. The King of Spain, along with Gov. Crist and U.S. Senators will be there tomorrow. I'm sure they'll be well stocked with Navy gear in the gift shop for the crowd. The Spanish royal couple is visiting Pensacola to help Pensacola celebration 450 years as the oldest European settlement in the United States. (I'd say within the current borders of Florida. There was a San Miguel de Gualdape in 1526 and Ft. Caroline 1564 in old Florida borders)
