I don't think he should vacation.

I agree, he should not set a precedent since no previous presidents ever vacationed when the nation was in a time of crisis. I get the strange feeling I'm overlooking one so someone may want to factcheck this claim.:sarc:

Yes, and with a non refundable deposit

His children would love 30a as mine do. We have children the same ages. This whole thing has altered the way we will plan our trips. I will no longer book a trip 6 months out. I will no longer deal with any rental companies or owners who require full payment 30 days out. I will wait until a week before and see what is available. May not be the exact condo or home I prefer, but I guarantee I can find something on 30a which is good enough!!!

Please note that it is not the White House or the Obamas who are suggesting a Gulf Coast vacation or even a summer vacation - he has already canceled scheduled trips abroad because of the oil spill.

Hey, Mr. Poppy. Didn't you just accuse another poster on a different thread of being too lazy to factcheck their post? ;-)

I think poppy is making a sarcastic reference to Bush and his vacation habits in time of crisis (so obvious to all that fact checking isn't necessary, get it?) . My feeling is that so what? The current situation is unprecedented and Obama has more on his plate than any president than I can remember. Sure he needs a break now and then, but he's going to have to work harder than any president in history if he wants to be successful.

Unlike Clinton, who had a reputation for shaving strokes off his score, Obama “doesn’t fudge his scores,” Van Natta said, adding: “If he shoots an 11 on a hole, he will write down 11.”

Obama shoots in the 90s on a good day, Van Natta said.

A honest hacker. I'll at least give him that.

Maybe I didn't use enough of these. :sarc::sarc::sarc::sarc::sarc::sarc::sarc:

And you're right Lucifer, he needs to stay on the job.
