NO NO NO NO do NOT abolish DST!!!!! :nono1:
I do not like to run errands in the dark, especially if it is raining. It is also much more difficult to get in a walk in the afternoon after I get off work when it is not DST. IDST.
Also, I personally would not be in favor of joining the Eastern time zone, because I like to watch the late news & Jay Leno's monologue before I go to bed. I also cannot fathom waiting until 9:00 p.m. for Monday Night Football to kick off.
I can, however, understand why our friends in Tallahassee would abolish DST. Right before the time changes in the fall, the sun sets at about 8:45 p.m. and doesn't come up until 7:45 a.m. I distinctly remember walking down East Call St to my 8:00 class in the dark.
I understood Senator Posey came up with this idea because he stated he gets confused.
DST.
They really go out of their way to keep the "Duh" in Floriduh.
