Sink Leads in Florida!

Alex Sink, Democratic candidate for Governor is now leading Republican Rick Scott by a robust 7 point lead. Seems there is a strong independant movement toward Sink. She has also become very popular with women.

Many potential Fla. voters have said that the highly negative campaign ads by multi millionare Scott are a major turnoff....

[Guess Scott should have used the money he embezzled from that "socialistic organization" Medicare and wishes it had been put to better use!]

I saw this on Politifact last night. And just now, I saw the Scott ad claiming that Sink gave those bonuses.

That's a good likely voter poll too. Clearly Scott has some work to do. He hasn't been successful at closing the gap.

yeah ... Who knew it would be so hard to buy the governor job?

I like Sink, but she does have some pretty exploitable weaknesses that Scott is trying to go for. But Scott's the guy who actually manages to have exponentially more baggage than Sink does. The RPOF really screwed up by lining up behind McCollum so soon in the process when a Charles Bronson or properly funded Paula Dockery would have been a hella more lively during primary season.

If it had been Dockery (who managed to stay clear of the RPOF follies to a large part) against Sink, I think Dockery would have been Florida's first female governor.

I'm still trying to figure out why Scott hiring his mother means he will do a good job of creating jobs for Florida.

My first thought was nepotism, the second was "first you put your sweet old mom to work in the bakery, now you are making her do ads for you."

I saw the attack ads last night. Pots, kettles and darkness crossed my mind. If you think about it, many voters still have no idea who Alex Sink is, so Scott's best shot is to make the first impression a nasty one. I still think the guy has a sleaze factor that will drag him down. I'm looking forward to that hot dog courtesy of WRobert
