Yeah, you're right - definitely the easiest way once someone gets the hang of it. It's easier to demo than to explain in writing.

It amazes me that even some college students don't even have any computer skills or typing skills. I would have thought that every person in that age group would have those skills these days. In an introductory programming class I was giving instructions, and a complete pathname had to be typed. We were using a free (command line) version of Python, and the students had to type
cd c:\python25
There were two students who couldn't find a colon on the keyboard and didn't know the difference between a slash and a backslash. There were several who left out the space. They didn't understand why they need a space. I said, "Well, when you type sentences in English, don't you put a space between the words? And is your name 'John Doe' or 'JohnDoe'? The space makes a difference.":bang:

These students have dropped the course. I mean, if they can't type a colon, they can't compute pi using a Taylor series expansion or recursively generate the Fibonacci series.

I spend all day processing college loans for these kids. Not only can they not read or write or type, but some basic phone etiquette skills would be appreciated as well. I don't have kids of my own, but if I did, they would be college age by now, and they would be PERFECT!
