Wind chill is something like 50 below......I heard this for Dallas. Dallas and Atlanta, 50 below. Ice everywhere. Dangerous! Twenty-seven car pile up! Why? Why? Why do people insist on driving on ice? Police and DOT barricaded several roads and drivers went around and did what? Crashed! All of them. Our temps won't be above freezing until Tuesday!

I called a taxi for my meeting last night and am going to walk tonight.

I ain't walkin' anywhere. Even Maggie's having to "walk" in the back yard. :bang:

Today, I think I shall be Grape.

:lol:Thank you.
It's unbearably cold this evening. Don't know what the freakin' wind chill is, but I am not amused.

27 degrees 17 wind chill. :D

Winter does indeed suck! Spent the evening just trying to stay warm and have now resorted to using my deck as additional refridgeration and freezer space. If you don't here from me tommorw, I love you all!

That is the only good thing when the temps are 7 degrees you can leave your groceries in the car.

Yeah, Mr. DD's beer's been outside for days now. He's on a winterizing frenzy tonight. There's duct tape and plastic garbage bags around and he's cussing the frozen garden hose....duh.
Check in every few hours and let us know you're ok.

Grape or cherry? :D
I'm orange.

Snow is okay. Ice is really scary. I'm driving to Midtown in the AM to pick up daughter and JP, take them to Lenox to pick up a few things, then drive them to SoSoATL for the engagement party. They are babies and scared to drive in these icy weather conditions.

BTW the 27-vehicle accident was due to DOT forgetting to gravel the ramp from 85 to 285 just southwest of Hartsfield.

I heard that about DOT, but the Yankee news reported this morning: "Inexperienced Winter Southern Drivers caused a 27 car pile up!" Whomever claims they can drive on ice needs to review that video of the 18-wheeler spinning out on ice.......from the North or Midwest somewhere where they are more experienced.

I take exception to that statement.

I think you'll be fine going to Lenox if you stay on Peachtree or Piedmont, not Buford Hwy. Good luck!!!
