During the monsoons that are rolling in? There's a river forming by the back patio and I've got to turn on lights to see. :bang:

Hoping our roof repair keeps holding up. If our roof stays watertight during this rainy season (for the first time ever) I am going to nominate our repair person for knighthood, or grand marshall of the fourth of July parade, or something. :D

Y'all make me so happy...

I'm praying that the high winds + saturated soil does not = tree on my house, and thanking the good Lord that none of my trees went horizontal this morning. A lot of big trees went down in town earlier today. I'm grateful for the rain, but the storms and drought damage makes things a little skeery this time of year!

Aren't we all getting more of this stuff later today?

Witches melt, wenches drink, evidently! :rotfl:

Looks like Buckhead has fifty-something trees down, blocking roads like Peachtree Battle and West Paces Ferry. 11Alive had no power -- was working off a generator to broadcast.

Yes - I had to drive down Peachtree for a meeting and all the traffic lights were out. I live right by Peachtree Battle; however, very fortunately I am on the power grid with the hospital so I rarely lose power. My lights flickered, but that was it today. There is a tree down the street that came down, but thankfully it didn't hit any lines.

Haynes Manor (Peachtree Battle) going north to the Governor's Mansion all use whole house generators because when one of these old oaks come down, it can be a few days before power is restored.

When is the next wave of storms? My yard looks fabu, I must admit! :D
