Wishin' we were gonna be. Gotta wait a month till we get to enjoy all the sand and the surf. I'm countin' the days. I take it you will be there gettin' the place good and warmed up for us? Red Bar, Hunts, D&K cafe, Oli's place........what do you end up doin' with the kiddos' for fun, we'll be packin' about a dozen between all the families that are meetin' up. Probably drive up to Destin to the Go Cart place and then to the ice cream shop. Lot's of traffic up that way. I try and avoid it at all cost....
35 minutes pn a really good day.
The worst of the traffic is always west of Destin Commons- 98 opens up a bit east of the Commons, as in, we actually started moving a bit instead of sitting bumper to bumper.
Thanks for that valuable information, traffic SUCKS! We'll just do some sea shell and crab huntin' after dinner with the flashlights.....I know, I know.....silly tourists. Good luck there wintersbk on your trip and watch out for those truckers who decide that they need to get over into your lane NOW, no matter what you are doin'. I did the Louisville to Carrollton, Texas trip on thursday of Memorial Day weekend and made it in about 12 hours. Alone. Lot's of Red Bull and Mountain Dew. It'll tickle yer innards......
