Some Holiday Observations

He certainly does. I was talking about his bathrobe!

I have this great photo of Merman from several years back when we were all in New Hampshire with my parents. He's standing in the driveway in a foot of newly fallen snow, paper in hand, in his red bathrobe that I got him from Talbotts. For years he wore that bathrobe not knowing I bought it from a ladies' clothing store. Heck, it fit him better than any lady and it wore like iron. I didn't tell him until after he wore it out that he was cross-dressing.

Was the Talbots label still on the robe?:funn::funn:Did he have matching slippers?

I don't know if I was bold enough to leave the label in because he paid those Talbott bills every month for me. The man surely would have put two and two together...eventually. I think.

That would be so funny if I could find that photo and post it! Merman has a great sense of humor and wouldn't mind. I think.

you have a real good point on the polly pocket toy. we could sit here for days listing all the awful toys we give our children every day, and what they represent.

slutty barbie dolls - little girls love 'em.
webkins - let's get our little kids a fake pet! she can care for it on the internet! hey virtual pets!! woo hoo! internet skills plus learning responsibility for another living fake thing.

what else?
I think Barbie is tame compared to the Bratz dolls which are all the rage, and their heads are much bigger than Barbie. Seriously.

Did he have matching slippers?
Mermy, you need to find that picture.
Speaking of slippers, my FIL has a small foot and I couldn't find the slippers he wanted in the men's dept. I found them in ladies only to have MANgo point out that they had a small bow on them.

I meant in the not so savory clothing dept and Bratz doesn't seem to offer anything else besides becoming fashionistas.
 But I've never seen this. That's out of hand. She is made out of plastic afterall Shelly. ;-) I also watched Barbie's 3 story dream house. The kitchen went by too fast. I didn't notice if there were any granite countertops. I wonder if Barbie took an ARM out for that house and was it subprime? What happened to Barbie's horse and simpler Barbie things like when we were kids? Sad.

Doll-Housing Crisis Set To Worsen, Mean Older Brother Says

DAYTON, OH?According to 5-year-old Janie Wright's mean older brother, Dave, 8, if unsuitable borrowers Ken and Barbie continue to default on their high-risk subprime mortgages, it could spell the worst doll-housing crisis to hit the plastic couple since someone threw their dream home's roof out a window.

"[Ken and Barbie] were dumb and ugly so now they're going to lose their home and it's going to wind up in the garbage," said the big jerk, who predicted that since the dolls have not made a single payment, he might just have to cut off all of Barbie's hair to sell it for extra money. "Maybe they can move into a shoe box that they barely fit into. But it won't have any windows so they'll suffocate and die."

The nasty older sibling added that since Ken and Barbie never insured the dollhouse, they would have no recourse in the event of fire, flood, or stomping.
