I was helping officiate a track meet today at Emerald Coast Middle School and overheard a conversation between several students from Marianna, Niceville and Choctaw. One of the students asked the others was this a private school because the facilities were so good. When one of the others told him that no, it was a regular school, that student replied that he wished they had facilities that good at their high school. I know Walton County is not perfect, but all of us sometimes forget just how good we have things compared to many of our neighbors.
