I wanted to share with you all today that I met a couple of the posters here on Sowal for the first time, I will leave them nameless for now up to them if they want to own up to meeting my wife and I. But just want to say thanks for the wonderful warm conversation and the "Fill in the gap" to the new folks in the area they shared. We have only been here since September as Sowal residents, and have met very few locals but the ones we have met have already made special places in our hearts. Anyhow back to the drama.... My work keeps me out of town allot and since my wifes heart attack last June she has had very little opportunity to get out and meet with folks. But for those who have taken a few moments to say "HI" to the new folks and find out that we are not rabid I feel have been as blessed as we are by meeting them. As we sat and watched one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen tonight I reflected on how blessed we truly are. 2 new friends my wife and I just sat in a local restaurant and were quiet for what seemed like hours until the sun was gone. I looked at our new friends than at my wife and said sweetheart we are truly blessed to see the beauty of man and God all in one sitting. So to our two new found friends, Thank you for sharing what was a very special moment today with us, and Most of all..... Thank you Lord for allowing me one more day to be with my wife of 30 years and bear wittiness to your magic in the heavens!

In closing we look forward to meeting any and all of you and look forward to what God will share with us together..

Happy Holidays !

Great sentiment. I hear ya too--I have been local for 3 years now--I fly out of hear for work a lot during the wee, but get to always be here on weekends (thank God).

30-A folks are great, and there is an astonishoing amount of unique local people (characters) here too--quirky, intelligent, and fun! Happy Holidays to you and your wife, and may 2008 get you guys more into the social whirl here!

Do you really think that is his dog? Just for the record....This picture of his "pet" has been around for years. I got it in an email a few years ago.

You don't even want to know what my "real" problem is.

Great post BH. How sweet. These SoWal peeps are some fine folks. I wish for you many happy days there. :welcome::wave:
