BTW...using cell phones as MP3 players totally saps the battery in most cases. Just a heads up...

Very true!

Hmmm, good to know. She has already realized texting umpteen times a day zaps the battery. I wonder if it would be worth it or not.

It's probably not the texting, it is probably because the phone is searching for a signal. This is true and not sexist, anything between a cell phone and the cell tower reduces the signal. The phone will pull more power trying to find a signal. Many women carry their cell phones in their purses and most purses will kill a cell phone signal.

The other thing is to check and see if the phone has a light sensor on it. This is usually turned off and has to be activated thru the settings. It will determine if there is enough ambient light and not use the phones backlight. This can greatly extend the cell phone battery life.

Happy celling!

Singinchicken..you are the best. The computer I'll use for this has Vista and a card reader built in. Your post was not in vain.:clap:I understand and should be able to do this. I think one way around getting itunes on an mp3 player is to make a cd and then upload them from the cd. It is time consuming and I'm thinking we'll just pick and choose rather than transfer the entire library.

Oh, good. Thanks, but relevance to someone with a cordless home phone that perplexes one? A cellphone that does things which will remain undiscovered until it is unearthed by archaeologists in 3125? One who is challenged by those bath faucets that are just one big knob?
I have noisy hoot-owls outside my window, though, and they get quiet when I go outside with a flashlight. That's technology I can appreciate.

One step at a time, master the technology piece by piece. :D
