Yes. I also guffaw. However, these things are on a very long list of things that single people who live alone are allowed to do.

Snorting is one of the things on a slightly shorter list of things that a single person who lives alone can only do in the privacy of her own kitchen. I don't remember ever snorting in front of another person. I will accidentally guffaw in public if something suddenly strikes me as acutely funny.
