I did UPS so the lady could help me decide how to protect it. Does anyone else laugh when you see what you pay to send these priceless works of art?

I know!! I went from the UPS place to the USPO--saved about 10 bucks. They are priceless though!!
**edit...just got delivery confirmation. The eagle has landed.
My shipper recommended UPS so I can obsessively track it to its destination! They knew I'd go nuts otherwise! Gotta love small towns. :rofl:

I hope mine makes it. I just sent it from the Santa Rosa Beach Post Office today. He said the package would have to go to Panama City first, but should be delivered back to SoWal tomorrow. He did stamp it fragile about six times. Now, what do we do when our ornament package arrives? Open it on a special date? time? take picture? relearn how to post picture?

When your package arrives do not open it! We will open them together Tuesday night, Dec 16 around 8 pm eastern.
Thanks Ocean Lover for the continued guidance. Another question. Does this mean that any SoWaller within 100 miles of each other gathers at a common spot to open the ornaments together? Does someone manage a live feed of the event? At any rate, I've got the event marked on my calendar and have the evening cleared for celebrations and festivities forthcoming.
Thank God mine lives in sowal. No doubt I will be lurking around his/her place with my wrapped package on the 16th. My first effort was a dismal failure.
