...the Gem of the Soiree! They had me going with this cousin thing. So glad BS showed up! But, where the hail was BB?

It was a fabulous evening. It was so much funn to see everyone and have some time to catch up! closer2fine did a great job at her first soiree, as did Lynnieoleum! Two soiree virgins...wonder if they feel respected this morning.

Thanks so much to Franny and Canuck...they are truly the Godfather and Godmother of the Soiree!!! I love you guys!

BTW...Alf and I were fighting over the last of the bean dip and fritos.

For the record: I did not fall for the Bettie Sue cousin posting thang. But, I did fall for the fall out of the Humma! That was classic and I'm sure a hit from 30A to Perry......I have a feeling the fall out of the Humma was real, though?

Not really. I took the early shift, you took the later shift, as usual. I told everyone I was going early as we had a Watersound Homeowner dinner at 7:00 and was going to meet up with everyone after our dinner.

BB - you chose this date.......I didn't know you had an HOA supper thang! I feel jilted!

So everybody missed the fireworks huh?

The party next to us comes over at the end of the night and asks about fireworks. Clearly if you're drunk you want to ask the other drunk party what to do. After a brief overview it was explained to pay attention to wind direction and aim over water. Apparently this meant the outfall. All was ooh's and aww's until the last one which wasn't planted very firmly. Now imagine myself, destinscuba, franny and canuck all running for cover. They were going everywhere and a tourist got a parting gift on his chest, plus a ruined shirt.

Otherwise the soiree was a blast and those that didn't get to make it missed out BIG time. Somewhere we have video too.

Oh, heavens.....I have been one of those running for cover at July 4th with drunk tourists playing with fire works......but, sorry I missed it.

We ran on to other exciting things in the evening! Pandora's and Sunkist telling us 100 times that she had to go because she was drunked up! We made her stay cause she wasn't going to be sick.

It was a wonderful night. Bobby Sue cracks me up. Sorry I didn't get to talk to everyone - a great group of folks!

I was hanging out just South of the fire. From where I was, everything was really dark to the North like the folks out there were lurking instead of being seen.

It's tough to keep walking up to total strangers and saying, "Hi, I'm ASH" in hopes that they might actually know who you are.

We'll try it again at the next one and hopefully meet yet a few more Sowallers.

For those of you who couldn't make it to Grayton Beach today, this is what the pass (aka- "outflow") looked like earlier today. It was more of an "inflow" from the Gulf which was like this all the way back to the mouth of the Lake. Absolutely beautiful! I saw a huge pile of wood on the beach, gathered for the "ho-down."
