OMG! Afunn is the best! She made me the perfect Valentine...PLUS!....I got the perfect card....candy....candle. I'm not kidding, this is the most perfect Valentine. Is this me...or what?!

I can't decide if I like the front or back better!

Thanks fartblossom and someone who lives on Oak Street for my Valentine's cards. I have sent others -- drove to the main ATL post office in Hapeville by the airport so they'd be delivered ASAP. If you don't get them today, they should be there tomorrow.

Opened my valentine from beautiful Potatovixen. Apparently she never spoke to Alifunn about my cooking :rofl:. I got this beautiful heart shaped box with all the fixins to make red velvet cupcakes, including spatulas with hearts on them. It's beautiful.

What followed wasn't so beautiful In my box was a bottle of red food dye and part of the instructions was to make a paste with the cocoa and the red dye. Well it seemed to take the whole bottle of dye to make a paste so in it went, at least part of it. The rest went all over me and the kitchen . I didn't have the buttermilk so thank heaven for mom who suggested sour cream and then saw me struggling and making a mess and decided to help. We finally got the mix into the little cups and it's cooking now. they looked beautiful so I pulled them out of the oven and once again mom came to the rescue and stuck a broom bristle in one and announced that they weren't cooked. How did she know to do that???
So back into the oven. More to come.

Oh man!! What a roller coaster of a day I've had. We've had the state in our building for our annual survey and let me just say they put us through the wringer for four flippin' days. My day started out doing an assessment at the hospital, then going to the building to blow up and deliver about 400 balloons to the residents. All this while looking for stuff for "those people" and driving BACK to the hospital to get the doc's sig on some meeting notes. Then, those people finally decided to leave, so we had to sit through an hour exit meeting with them. Then, I had to buy gas, you know how I hate that. Had to go to the grocery store so I could make mr. dd an all red VD dinner. Then, I had to take Jackson his VD stuff because he has strep and had to miss his VD party at school. Then, came home, made the red dinner, ate, loaded up the camera and here I am. Still.....

I had the BEST VD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My sweet friend OL was my secret Valentine and just look what she sent me.....

I think the hips are a little too small and the legs are way too skinny, but isn't this hilarious??!!!
